holla

Harvir and I have been frienemies since we were 13. We always (affectionately) taunted each other and had most of our classes together through school. In the last couple years of high school he started phoning me all the time and having meaning-of-our-dramatic-teenage-lives conversations. And thus began our long traditional of telephonic co-dependence.

I love this picture of him. I had forgotten that I had it until recently when I dug it out of a Puma shoebox. It was a really memorable afternoon that day. We'd gone out for dinner, walked through a massive crowd watching a bike race in Gastown and then ended up walking all through Coal Harbour to take in the Vancouver Bienale outdoor installation/sculpture series that was on.
